Conan Doyle Collection

Portsmouth, the birthplace of Sherlock Holmes is home to the Conan Doyle Collection. Offering a magnificent insight into the world of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle with approximately 50,000 items, book first editions, related letters, film and television memorabilia and Conan Doyle's personal items, this is one of the widest ranging collections in the world. It was bequeathed in 2004 by Richard Lancelyn Green, one of the leading experts in this field.
